Play for day 2 of the €1,100 Eureka Main Event at EPT Prague ended with Poland Karol Konopka (4,775,000) the top of the token counts.

To complete the top three stacks of tokens, Merijn van Rooij (3,990,000) and Heinz Schluter (3,775,0000). Van Rooij was involved in the hand of the day, after his opponent threw his kings into his ace pocket in a pot worth 4 million.

The 496 players who qualified for Day 2 had all guaranteed themselves a salary of at least €1,700 but of course all eyes were on the €417,820 up there.

After the dust settled on the second leg of this event, it has been confirmed that only 66 players will return for Day 3, which kicks off on Wednesday, March 8 at 12:00 CET.

PokerStars Ambassador Alexandre Lococo is one of the notable names moving up, and he’s joined by the likes of the WSOP bracelet winner Alexander Reard and chipleader of the day 1c Maxime Costas.

The UK one Patrick Leonard (161st – €3,570) and bracelet winner Jonas Lauck (72nd – €6,090) were among the big names to bow out during today’s session. The 2017 champion of this event, Georgios Vrakasalso dropped early on, finishing in 403rd place for cash of €1,910.
