Boivin leads as 54 players advance from Day 3 of Wynn Millions 2022; Moreno seeks to defend | 2022 Wynn Millions

the 2022 Wynn Millions started with 1,075 runners, of which 154 players returned for Day 3 action on Tuesday. After five 90-minute levels of play, the field was whittled down to just 54 players with Thomas Boivin and his 2.5 million stack leading the pack.
Perhaps the most interesting story is that of the defending champion Andre Moreno, who is looking to do the improbable by defending their title and competing in the first two Wynn Millions. If you recall, last July Moreno topped a field of 1,328 entries to win the inaugural Wynn Millions for $1,460,106 after a three-way deal. Moreno knows what it takes to win, and he’s also a little on edge after winning the Venetian DeepStack Event #27: $2,500 Ultimate Stack last month for $242,293. Only time will tell if Moreno can repeat, but he will have 985,000 to work with on Day 4.
Hyo Joo (2,080,000), Ian Matakis (1,775,000), Sylvain Loosli (1,305,000), Sam Soverel (1,300,000), Tony Sinishtaj (1,140,000), Shaun Deeb (1,015,000), Brock Wilson (530,000) and Vanessa Kade (485,000).
With only the top 116 paid, 38 players would walk away empty-handed, including Matas Cimboles, Ball Scott, Matt Berkey, Christine Gollins, Steve Begleiterand a trio of players who burst on the bubble (Leo Worthington-Leese, Ali Imsirovicand Jake Schindler).
Once the bubble burst, in-the-money rose rapidly. Among those who earned a payday on Day 3 were Tice Landon (114th – $22,029), Tristan Wade (104th – $23,901), Aaron Massy (98th – $26,005), Scott Baumstein (88th – $28,475), Ben Yu (80th – $31,323), fourth place last year Salim Admon (74th – $31,323), JC Tran (73rd – $31,323), Daniel Lazrus (66th – $34,549), Nick Schulman (63rd – $34,549), and John Guilbert (55th – $38,384).
The 54 surviving players will return Wednesday at noon local time for Day 4, which is expected to play five more levels. PokerNews will be on hand to capture all the action, so be sure to join us to see who thrives and who doesn’t.
